Body Language

"Your body language needs to declare very clearly and loudly: confidence, respect and excellence. You alone are always in control of your actions and reactions. Compete!" Just recently I noted that Proactive Coaching quote and today I stumbled upon this Mike Brey Positive Coaching Alliance video. Obviously, we couldn't agree more with both of them. Maintaining positive body language is no small task, but an essential building block in becoming the best you can be. This blog is being written June 24, just a few days before the completion of our summer program. We have been hard at it! Early morning skill work and weight room. Long camp days capped off by league games almost nightly. Fatique is setting in and it's not uncommon for frustrations to reach a breaking point. When this happens, and I promise you it will, how we react makes all the difference. Chuck Swindoll is famous for saying, "I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it." Those are wise words. We must control our emotions and always take the high road. Yes, it's easier said than done. It usually takes a team effort. That's why we are stronger together than apart. Watch the video and see how Notre Dame handles poor body language.
